Kindle Fire HD 7" Video Problems

I recently purchased a Kindle Fire HD and have already encountered a few issues that I wanted to see if others were/have experienced.

First is when I watch movies or shows on Netflix. They are extremely fuzzy about 50% of the time. It's like you can see all the pixels and it really makes watching anything on it unbearable. Is this an app. issue or is it the Kindle? I have had 2 Netflix updates since and it still happens.

Next is when watching movies on another website I use the video is constantly freezing and I have to refresh the page to get it to play again. I know the owner of this website and they have personally looked into it for me and assured me it is nothing on their end.

Netflix runs great on out PC and PS3, even my mobile. And the other website works well on my PC also and I don't believe it's a internet issue.

Does anyone else experience anything like this? I find the freezing also happens when watching youtube videos, but it is a lot less frequent.

I have to say that it does sound like your internet connection. I notice that Netflix takes about a minute to "sharpen up" after I start watching a program, but it seems very clear once it does "sharpen." You can change the streaming setting in your account at Netflix to always stream the highest quality available. You might change that and see if it helps.

As for your friend's website, again, it sounds like your internet connection. Do you have other wi fi devices (like a laptop or another tablet) that you could test Netflix and this website with?

I was unaware you can change the streaming settings in netflix though. Do I do this on my PC and it will apply to all devices? I will try this and see if it helps.

Yes, change the netflix settings from your account while on your PC and see if that helps at all.
