Only some books can be loaned. If they are it's only one time for 14 days.

To find out if the book you want to lend has that ability from the publisher - go to either the product page (in the yellow banner at the top of the page telling you you own the book - there will be a place to click to loan it) or the Manage Your Content and Devices page - go to the title of the book and click on the 3 dots to the left of the title. If it's loanable, one of the options there will be to loan it. Just make sure you put in the person's personal email - not their kindle one.

Obviously you can loan any book in your library out by loaning the actual Kindle (some people buy the $69 Basic for this reason) with the book or books they want to read on it.
