So I got my Fire HDX on Christmas Eve. I noticed that it has the time right, and the date right when I go into the calendar app. But on the lock screen I have noticed the time is right, but it shows tomorrows date.

Since I have been at work during the day and haven't brought it with me I do not know for sure when it starts displaying the wrong date...But for instance, at 9pm last night, the time was right, but the date said December 27th...When it was still the 26th in my time zone.

Anyone else having a similar problem, or had it and fixed it?

Do you have a question?

Have you checked the time zone setting on your kindle?

Yup.

Once I am in the Kindle, everything displays right. It is just the lock screen that seems to jump forward.

Use the Mayday button and have CS look at your device.

I used mayday button. Agents were very polite and had to put me on hold a few times, but could not find solution. Said they would pass the info along to engineering. I'll give them about a week to get back to me then I am going to request a new device. I know it is a minor issue but the amount of money my husband paid for this device it should be perfect out of the box.....

well I still have not heard back on my issue. But I have narrowed the time down that the date swtiches over early. I just checked at 6PM and it is still correct so that means it should be switching within the next couple of hours......

You might want to ask over in the dedicated Kindle Help Forum. There's a link to the forum in the second post at the top of this web page.

Thank you. I will try that. I am pretty sure the time on the lock screen is changing at 7PM.

Have the same problem. Did you get the issue corrected or did you request a new kindle?

The Calender app uses a separate clock from the tablet. You have to set the Date in the Calendar App under Settings 'Calendar General Settings' inside the app. It has an option called 'Use Default Time Zone' which is the setting for the tablet itself. If you set that to 'On' then they will sync together. There is a second setting called 'Set Default Time Zone' as well.

This actually makes sense because some people have calendars that they might have set for work in a separate time zone.
