Diabolical! For the first several days, no ads. Then they got longer and after every turn!

How do I get words with friends with no adds. It

As above -
FYI - Any free app has ads of some sort. That's what pays for the app. The only way to avoid the ads is to pay for the app. Check and see if a paid version is available for the Fire. If not, then contact the publisher and ask when they expect to release the paid version.

Amazon has no say in the matter. They are just a store selling the app to you.

For whatever reason, Zynga (the company that makes the "with Friends" games) has chosen to not make a paid version of Words with Friends for Android devices. You might use the "Contact Us" link on Zynga's website (do a web search to find it, or I think they have a link to their website from within their game apps) to tell them that you want (and will buy) a non-ad version of Words with Friends. The more people who write them, the more they might be willing to release a paid version of the game.

I also wish they'd get a version of Hanging with Friends for the Kindle Fire. They don't have one at all (but there are both free and paid Android versions in the Google Play Store that I have on my HTC phone), and I'd love to be able to play the game on my Fire because it has a larger screen.

And they don't offer a Scramble with Friends paid app for the Fire either. Nor have they yet released an Android version (not even in the Play Store) of their newest, "Matching with Friends."

It could be that Zynga generates more income from the ads than they would get by offering a paid version of the apps--not sure.

hold on there, WWF is ABSOLUTELY available on Android devices without ads and has been for quite a while. It's not available on KINDLE FIRE. Why should I pay for it again anyway. What I want, is a way to use my paid version of WWF on my Kindle fire. Can this be done without rooting?

The ads (videos) are causing my Kindle Fire to freeze up with a "green screen" so I basically can't play Words with Friends unless I restart after each game. Has anyone had this problem and is there a fix or is it becoming "toast"?

1. Contact Zynga.

2. Find a replacement for Words With Friends and play that instead. Wordfeud, SCRABBLE (Kindle Tablet Edition)

3. Find something else entirely and play that instead. EVAC HD (Full), Pocket Academy

None of us can help you, except to make #2 and #3 recommendations.

I don't think you can put Safari on a Fire.

i play on the computer - can i get it without video ads - because of where we live, I have limited internet, and the videos take all our time

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 20, 2014 5:13:12 PM PDT
Safari is a browser. If you could get it via Safari, you could get it via Silk. I doubt that that is where she got it. Probably via Google Play.
