How to archive/delete an article on Kindle Touch

I can archive kindle books and pdfs by touching the book's title without problems.

However, the menu dialog does not appear on touching the title of articles... I transferred some article from Instapaper by email, finished reading it, and wanted to delete it from the device. No way to do that...

I know I can remove the articles by mounting the device as USB disk with Mac/PC and deleting it. I hope we could do it just on our devices.

+1 It happens with articles sent from etc. as well.

Once the document is deleted from Manage Your Kindle page, the popup menu shows up with "Delete document from the device", but as long as the document is in the Personal Document library, there's no way to archive the item on the device. It is a major inconvenience.

To archive the normal kindle books, just tap and hold the book, and the menu dialog will be shown. You can select 'archive' from the menu.

Disable "Personal Document Archiving" in your Manage My Kindle page on Amazon. You'll need to delete the existing documents manually (easiest by plugging into a computer with USB), but all future ones will be deletable directly on the Kindle by tap-and-holding on them and selecting "Delete Document".
