Can I print specific pages from kindle books that are on my PC? I may want certain pages for a bell-ringers for classes, or that page for questions about American Romanticism. I'm wondering if pages printed from the screen, same content, will look better than the pages printed from a book smooshed in the photocopier.

You can do a print screen from the PC.

How? (Please give me a PC lesson now. My eyes are down in embarrassment.)

Press Alt and PrtScr at the same time. Then go into something like Word and press Ctrl and V at the same time. It will put a copy of what was on your screen into the document.

Actually it depends on the computer. My laptop is the FN key along with the PRTSC key.

Okay, thanks.
It's literally printing the computer screen. Is there any tool in kindle that I can use print just the "page" from the "book"?

No, Kindle software does not allow that.

I have seen apps that you can download or purchase to print from directly your Kindle. There are some in the app store, just do a search from your kindle or computer. :) hope this helps.

Thanks, everybody. This is a stunner. I'm not finding ebooks as convenient as I thought. I'm thinking the ol' smoosh-in-the-photocopier-and-get-smudgy-edges method is just as efficient.

It depends which version you have. K4PC Windows 8 doesn't have the option, so far as I know, but K4PC Windows 7 allows you to copy and paste text (and it even automatically adds the citation).

As for the alt/prtscrn command, usually in Windows "prtscr" will copy the whole screen, but "alt/prtscr" will only copy the window where your cursor is. So if you click in the K4PC window first, *then* do the alt/prtscr, you should only get the K4PC window.

You can do that with the Kindle as well.

If you have an actual Kindle (not the app for your computer) - you can put it on the copier and print with no rolled margins. Just make sure it hasn't gone to sleep!

It also has to be an e-ink Kindle not a Fire....

So true - I always think of "Kindle" as being e-ink and Fire as being not!! My mistake.

Oh, I agree with you here but unfortunately not everyone is as enlightened as we are :)
