I posed the question of whether we wanted to stay a daily thread or go to a monthly thread or possibly a weekly thread and in the end it seems I am the only one who really raised their hand for change. I am only one person and this is our thread so the masses have spoken. Sort of. I am taking the liberty just to experiment this week with a two day but one start start. Meaning I will not be adding a start for Friday but will roll over both days into one start.

And then it is back to one day per start.

So you people who were waiting can now take a deep breath and start claiming starts again.

April 3 is National Chocolate Mousse Day.

Let's not confuse this with November 30 that is National Mousse Day.

"Mousse" is the French word for "foam." It's a fitting name for this light, fluffy, and decadent treat.

A mousse is a delicious dessert made with egg whites and cream.

A mousse is a prepared food that incorporates air bubbles to give it a light and airy texture. It can range from light and fluffy to creamy and thick, depending on preparation techniques. The secret to its texture is beaten egg whites or whipped cream.

A mousse can be either sweet or savory. However, when people think about a mousse, they usually think about the sweet dessert. Dessert mousses are typically made with whipped egg whites or whipped cream, and generally flavored with chocolate.

Chocolate mousse can be found in restaurants worldwide because of its popularity.

Julia Child is often credited with making the perfect chocolate mousse. Her precise recipe includes eggs, dark-brewed coffee, butter, bittersweet chocolate, dark rum and vanilla extract.

Celebrate National Chocolate Mousse Day on April 3. Then on November 30, you can celebrate a mousse of any kind on National Mousse Day.

April 3 is National Walking Day. The American Heart Association sponsors this day, a day for people to get out and take a walk. Wear your sneakers (or take them with you) to work and at some point in the day, you are encouraged to take a 30 minute walk.

Celebrated annually on April 3, is National Tweed Day. This day has a few different meanings, so you can choose as to which one you believe is the source of National Tweed Day.

Some people believe that National Tweed Day is celebrated to recognize senator-turned-crook William "Boss" Tweed. Tweed was born on April 3, 1823. He was the wealthiest and most powerful politician of his time. While being considered the "poster boy" for political corruption, Tweed is still known by many as one of the most notorious politicians in American history. He died in 1978, in jail, after being caught with stealing millions of dollars of public money.

Others believe that today celebrates the tweed fabric. "Tweed is a rough, unfinished woolen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture, resembling cheviot or homespun, but more closely woven. It is made in either plain or twill weave and may have a check or herringbone pattern. Subdued, interesting colour effects (such as heather mixtures) are obtained by twisting together differently colored woolen strands into a two- or three-ply yarn.

Tweed was often worn by Sherlock Holmes, James Bond and Professor Henry Jones of Indiana Jones.

Thanks for starting Robb.

I think it will be interesting to see how your two day, one start thread goes. For me personally, I am fine with it because I woke up this morning and wasn't quite ready to leave yesterdays thread:) I still had to finish reading the posts and make a small reply.

I very nearly bought myself a chocolate mousse last night (not knowing about the chocolate mousse day of course) and then looked at my ever expanding waist line, straightened my shoulders and walked away:)

I hope everyone has a good day, I too will try to be in and out, mostly out, I fear, until I get home.

National Chocolate Mousse Day - now this one sounds like the one I would like to celebrate mmmm :-)
The next one on your list is, well, connected to ....exercise !!
and I think Tweed day pertains to the fabric, but then of course I may well be biased :-)
