Let's see if anyone can help me on this, because I got passed around on kindle support to various people with no ultimate solution. I have a kindle touch and I have a book I would like to remove from it. So, I went to content manager and deleted it from the drop down options. I refreshed my kindle and the book is still there in my archives where I had placed it, but now I do not see it in my content manager and no longer have options to remove it from that feature. I waited several days, knowing there could be a delay, but now it has been a week and it is still there in my archives but still not showing in my content. It appears on all my kindle devices in the archives and even in a new registration I added to my husband's tablet to test and see if it appeared there. I tried re-loading it to the home page and this worked to move it, but it still does not reappear in my content manager. I know this probably sounds all sorts of confusing, but can ANYONE please tell me if they have had this problem and what they did to solve it? (Re-cap: how to remove book from kindle devices after it no longer appears in my content manager, when it should automatically go away)

I also plugged into USB and deleted the files... this successfully moved it back to the archives. Whomp.

I have a K3 so not sure that this will work for Kindle Touch (I'm assuming Content Manager is on the Touch?)

I move the book to archives on the Kindle. Then I go to My account on my computer. Then I go to Manage Your Kindle, click on All Items under Kindle Library. Find the book. Click on Actions and then click on Delete from library.

last nite when i'd deleted some books from manage your kindle online...the books were still sitting there in the archive...so i decided to reset the kindle by holding down the power button for 20 seconds....released and hit the button again...kindle should start reloading...i went into archive and the books disappear.....if you're afraid you'll loose all your items....idk...but i've been resetting my Kindle which seems like thousands of time due to an issue or a glitch that Kindle Support don't seem to know about or can help me w/.....but aside from my issue...I've haven't lost anything yet....but then again idk...I'm starting to think every Kindle Touch is not same any more...sorry but I hope this will help you get rid of those unwanted books...thx.

if the sync didn't remove them from the Archives/Cloud, and you know you removed them from your Manage Your Kindle page and not your Your Media Library page, then turn your wireless on and reboot (over 50% battery charge, unplugged, hold power on for a full 30 seconds and that should remove them

Which Kindle do you have?
From where did you delete the books? (i.e. your Manage Your Kindle page)

Hmm. its a kindle touch. I tried unregistering my account and deleting them off the kindle while it wasn't connected to my account. . . When i re-registered they just showed up in my cloud. I tried deleting them manually through usb, didn't work. Held the power button down for 20 seconds twice, and then 30 seconds (restarted it 3 times), and they still continue to show up In my archives. I go to manage my kindle, and it doesn't show up on the list of books i have either -.- This is horrible.

go here and see if you put them in the trash

http://amazon.com/yml

because if you delete them there, they won't show up under your Manage Your Kindle page, but they will in your Cloud

and did you do the restart with the wireless on? that will often remove sick books

did you look in the trash?

you'll need to log in, then below the top bar of tabs is a drop down menu - select trash from there if it's an option and return the books to you collection

then delete them from Your Manage Your Kindle page

then turn wireless on and do a reboot by holding the power on for 30 seconds

and I'm sorry, but it's my bed time, so if that doesn't do the trick use the Help link at the top of this page then the orange Contact Us button on that page and get Customer Service to help you.

Just remove them from the trash.

Then go delete them from http://www.amazon.com/myk.

You are awesome. I found it out. Ok. For anyone else having this problem.
1: Go to http://amazon.com/yml
2: Look in your trashed items (if you deleted it from your manage your kindle website, it might be here)
3: Restore them back to your collection
4: go to the official amazon kindle website and they will now appear back where you previously deleted them (official manage your kindle on amazon.com)
5: remove them from device here, and they are removed from your cloud/archive =D yaay. No more embarrassing smut titles to worry about whenever someone "asks" to see my kindle.

good summation of what I was telling you to do - glad they're gone now

btw, I hate the YML page because it causes the same problem you have (this is the second instant in as many days)
