Syncing while rereading books

I read books on 2 devices; my kindle and my iPhone using the Kindle Application. I'm getting frustrated because when I start over in my book to the beginning to start rereading and then try to pick up on my iPhone where I left off on my Kindle, it tries to sync back to the last page of the book from when I finished reading it the 1st time. If anyone knows how to sync my two readers to the current page I'm reading on instead of the last page of the book, please let me know. Thanks in advance,
Cheri

Only CS can reset a book to the beginning so that the last page read info is accurate when reading accross multiple devices again, so you need to send them an e-mail with the name of the book and ask them to do it. You can also try calling them, but not all CS reps know how to do it.

I am not much of a 're-reader' but I understand that you can contact Kindle CS and they can reset your book.

LAST page read, seems to mean the last page you EVER read. I do wish that the user could simply re-set it from a menu choice.

Contacting Customer Service to reset a book for me wouldn't be feasible since I reread alot of my books that I've had for years. Maybe one day CS will give us, the "customer", the opportunity to reset our own books, since we, like, "paid for the books", lol.

That could be so easily resolved by syncing the current page instead of only syncing the furthest one... That's how a real book works and I never had a problem with it.
Furthermore I never tried, but I suppose you basically break your book sync even if this is your first reading if you happen to go and read the last page. That's absurd...
I think iBooks hasn't this problem btw.

Log into your Amazon account and go to Manage Your Kindle.
A list of your e-books will be listed. On the right of each book title there is a button: Actions.
Hover over the Actions button and one of the options is: Clear Furthest Page Read.

You may need to remove the book from your device and re-load it from the cloud.
