Just Peachy says:
What relation are you to the author of this 25 page "book"?

Sounds depressing. And what does she mean, "climbing"? Climbing out of the dreck pile?

Yes, I have a can of Spam climbing out of the pantry, asking to be fried with a side of SPA.

Ok, chalk up another one - this never-buy list is getting longer than some of the books on it.............

You know, it *almost* wouldn't be so bad if someone DID walk in here HONESTLY and simply ADMIT, "My pal wrote a pamphlet. I thought it was cool, and hey, I'm trying to help the guy out. Starving artist and all."

And then the fora folk could say nicely, "If you want to promote a book, do so over -----> there," and the friend could say, "Oh, okay, cool," and we'd all do a shot.

But to thinly veil the spam with, "Has anyone checked this story out? It's climbing fast" is annoying.

ETC typo

What in this thread has made you think anyone wants to read your "friend's" book?

"Book"

Since you don't bother to use the reply to this post function, there is no way for anyone to know which post you are responding to. Personally, I've never read a book about vampires, and I enjoy conversing with interesting, interested people. Your point is?

Sure. Sure, it does. Let's go with that. Run along, now. Sometimes the bus stations and the community centers let you put pamphlets in the racks.

Ah righteous shillery -- niiiice.

Reported, too, by the way. What else would you like to converse about?

Denise Long says:
I get it.

This is NOT self-promotion because you didn't write it.
a 'friend' wrote it.

You're right - that should have been "book."

Dittie says:
Now what did you go and do that for? I have to give two different explanations when I report you now, one for shilling and one for name calling. *sigh*

Way to get your "friend's" name out there! Excellent work!

Seriously - the arguing with and insulting readers method of selling books has been tried. Time and time again. It fails Every.Single.Time. This time will be no different.
