When viewing e-mails, magazine pages, etc... can you print from the Kindle Fire?

Not exactly. You can highlight bits and pieces (amount is set per book, by the publisher, usually a small percentage), and you highlights show up (if annotations backup is turned on) on http://Kindle.amazon.com. I don't think that the "My Clippings.txt" file that is also available for hardware Kindles is available for Kindle apps, which the Fire will be using. Also, you can't highlight images, only text.

When you go to http://Kindle.amazon.com and log in, you can cut and paste your highlights into a document that you can then print.

Edited to add: don't know yet how the email client will work, but I doubt printing is built-in. There are a few Android apps currently available that allow printing to wi-fi printers, but I don't know how they interface with the document app (like email).

PrinterShare lets you send documents from a file to a wireless printer (or blue tooth), but it does not print natively from within MS Office applications. I have it on my phone, and you can print from web pages, contacts, text messages, pictures, calendars, GMail and Google Docs from WITHIN the Printershare application.....

I have purchased professional texts for my kindle. The hardcovers have pages that can be printed out for handouts for clients. I need to know how to print out specific pages from these kindle books, otherwise it doesn't make sense to purchase them in kindle format. Can anyone tell me how to print out select pages from books in my kindle fire???

No Kindle device allows direct printing of content. The process Susan outlined is the only supported option.

I have PrinterShare also but it seems to not download or install successfully on my Fire. Not for printing books btw, I wanted to print a web page I viewed in the Web browser.

EasyPrint is in the appstore.

This uses the Google Cloud Print service to enable printing from the Kindle Fire.

But you still can't print from books, only from things that support printing, like PDF and web pages.

That's too bad. I was going to get my knitting magazines from Amazon... but can't because I will need to print out charts.....

You don't have a regular computer to do that?

It is true that you can not print from within office applications but as long as the document is saved to your device you can open it with PrinterShare and print it.

T. Arieli, I'm not sure if this might work for you but try Evernote. You can install (it's free) on Kindle Fire & your PC. If there's not still a tutorial do a google search on using Evernote. Play around to see if you can save charts (touch & hold, see if you get option for saving image.) You can save images from web pages and also by touching the menu option tab (center of bottom "status" bar, the one that looks like a page with lines on it) you can share... save pages to Evernote (web pages will save as a link) or highlight, cut & paste into a new note on Evernote then touch the camera tab and add the photos you saved/downloaded
to your Kindle. Notes autosave. Open Evernote app on your PC and print!
