Looking for suggestions for 'great beach reads' across all genres. If you have a recommendation for a great series or stand alone book, please share. The Kindle Forum has recommended so many books. With summer's arrival, I would like to build up my Kindle library and figure there is no better place than here to get started. :)

These get mentioned in the forum a lot, so you may have already seen...def a great series:
Mark Schweizer's liturgical mysteries:
The Alto Wore Tweed (The Liturgical Mysteries)

Also, a really good thriller:
Where the Devil Can't Go by Anya Lipska

Both discoveries I wouldn't have found in pre-kindle days...

Whichever one(s) you decide you want to read, just remember the Fire is not going to work well on the beach. . .

I have a Kindle Paperwhite so it should be just fine. However, I haven't taken it to the beach...yet. :)

The Second Messiah: A Thriller was a decent thriller.

Chain of Souls is a well done historical fiction. I also enjoyed Puddle of Love by the same author.

I'm a couple of chapters into The Alto. It's especially funny if you have any church background.

"For a couple of months all the scripture lessons were either John 3:16 or Romans 10:23. It turned out that a Southern Baptist had wandered into the wrong building."

Funny on its own, but screaming funny to someone raised in the church.
