Good grief.

These threads are becoming almost as prolific as the price threads. Guess there is a correlation there.

"Thoughts?"

They probably won't hold a concert when the settlement is finalized/refunds issued. They very likely will hold an announcement though.

I think a lot of people are in for a surprise when the credits do arrive. Unless you bought a LOT of books that qualify, the amount isn't going to be very much. Remember, it's not every book, and most of the ones that do qualify will get you $0.30 each.......

I was just going to post the same thing, M. The refund is not for every book you purchased during that time, only for the agency model books you purchased during that time. And if you didn't buy any Agency books during that time period, you get nothing.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 19, 2013 12:31:55 PM PST
You mean I won't get $0.30 for each of those hundreds of free books I purchased two years ago?

*end sarcasm*

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 19, 2013 12:33:04 PM PST
And only the NYT Bestsellers will bring more than the $0.30.

Also, if you live in Minnesota, you won't get anything, either, because MN's Attorney General declined to participate in the suit.

Any amount will be gravy for me. Even a few cents. I'm not expecting anything.

Michelle Ann says:
Thanks for the helpful info M.Francis and The Artist. During that period I spent about $2k in books...those for for pleasure, business and education. I'm not looking for handouts, or in need of the refund, I was just curious. It would be nice to have a little extra to spend on additional books.

I was hoping to get enough to purchase This

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 19, 2013 12:37:37 PM PST
That's pretty much how I feel too, although I am expecting something*. (Most of my purchases are Agency Model books.)

*And by "something" I mean $10 or $15 at most. Enough to buy another Agency Model book.

Artist says:
If only I had another $.30 cents, I'd be able to buy it, too.

I was hoping they'd have a way for us to donate whatever we get back to that group that's buying Kindles and Kindle books for schools in Africa.

The judge just approved the original settlements this past week. We now have to wait some period of time to see if there are any appeals (settlement website did not give a timeline for how long that wait would be). I'm not expecting anything for at least a couple more months.

Darn, Pat! That's not available for the Kindle anymore. I'm hoping I get enough for a 6-pack.

It is not available for customers in the US anyway!
