Hi, my Kindle Fire is acting up. It's taking forever to charge. Sometimes the amber light is on, sometimes it goes off, then comes back on. Sometimes the green light is on then it goes off. Still not 100% charged. Everytime I push power the screen dims a little then the unlock page comes up, if i touch the screen more than four times, it goes back to black screen that says Kindle Fire and a light goes through all the letters...HELP

You want "Help"? Do you not notice the "Help" link at the top of every amazon page??? Try it! Then the "contact us" link...I prefer live chat.

Ask yourself...would you ask strangers on the street about fixing anything, or would you find an expert? Well by going on a forum you are getting the "stranger" part, but there's no way for you to know if they're really an expert. While if you use amazon's customer service they're at least "supposed" to include "experts".

Ignore Fud.

Then read this thread, at least the first post.

Then put the Fire on the charger and *leave it alone* for 8-12 hours. Then see if it will turn on. If it does, do a reset by holding the power button in for a full 30 seconds. Release. Wait a sec. Then turn it back on.

Then try downloading a battery meter app, such as Battery HD.

To insert a product link use the format: [[ASIN:ASIN product-title]] (What's this?)
