I love the latest software update for Kindle Paperwhite gen 1. It has lots of new great features.

What I'm missing is the reading progress overview that let me quickly glance over the book's progression. I'm talking about feature when you tap on the upper part of the page you are reading and then the top menu with icons is opened as well as bottom toolbar that contains arrow for quick preview popup.

Before the update I was able to see percentage, time remaining in the chapter and time remaining in the book in the bottom bar. There is nothing now.

I often read with progress hidden or just with the time left in the chapter information and to find out information mentioned above requires too many taps now. The taping to cycle through the all progress information is way too cumbersome.

Please bring back this feature. There is plenty free space in bottom region and it was quite intuitive and something I quickly get used to.

If you want to leave feedback for Amazon (rather than just tell a bunch of customers - which is what you're doing here), then you'll need to email your suggestion to kindle-feedback@amazon.com.

If you're trying to garner support for your suggestion, then talking about it here could be of some value, of course. But it reads as though you're talking to Amazon.

Thank you for the feedback. You are right. I was trying to talk to the Amazon. I seen the official(?) announcements pinned in the top of the forum so I was living in impression that some Kindle community manager or such reads these forums and reports back. I did not know about feedback address. I will use it right away. But as you said, some traction from the other people would be nice and there is higher chance for feature implementation when more people get back to them.
