Why doesn't my amazon account give me the option to send the book to one of my devices/cloud reader

I want to buy a book and send it to my Ipad and/or Cloud Reader, but both are disabled on the drop down menu. They are shown as light gray, and the only option I have is to send it to my Android phone. I want to read my book on my Ipad though...any suggestions? Thanks.

Check the book on Amazon and see which devices it works on. It's possible that it is in the new KF8 format, which is only supported on some of the Kindles and Kindle apps. (I know KF8 ebooks work on the Android Kindle app, but I'm not sure for the iPad or Cloud reader).

Is it a kids book or a comic book? Those are typically in the KF8 format now.
