I have an iPad with movies on it. How can I transfer them to my Kindle Fire HD?

R. D. Clark says:
If the movies were transferred via iTunes, they are probably encrypted with Apple DRM, and therefore can only be played on Apple devices.

If the movie is unencrypted and in a Fire-compatible format, you must have gotten it from somewhere else. To get it onto your fore, go to wherever the source file is (on your PC, say) and copy it to the Fire using the USB cable.

The movie was a digital copy that came with the store bought DVD. U could download with either iTunes or Ultraviolet.

Maybe you can use the Ultraviolet app to download it to the Fire; someone who uses UV on the Fire might be able to,tell you. The copy on your iPad can't itself be used on another device.

You cannot use ultraviolet digital copies on a kindle fire AFAIK.

You can use ultraviolet copies on a kindle fire HD. It does require you to setup some accounts, but I think it is worth it. I'm not sure if you can get both an ultraviolet copy and an iTunes copy with the one code included with your movie, though.

Here's what I did to access UV copies on my KFHD 7":
1) Downloaded the Flixster app - Movies by Flixster
2) Accessed ultraviolet copies - in my case, I went to the paramount site indicated on the insert for an Ultraviolet copy that came with my Blu-ray. I followed the instructions to create an account with paramount (could be whichever studio your movie is from), which also setup an Ultraviolet account for me (since I didn't have one yet). Once I did this, I entered my code and redeemed my Ultraviolet copy.
3) Created Flixster account and followed the options to link it to my Ultraviolet account.

By doing the above, I had my movie added to my Ultraviolet collection and it is now accessible through the Flixster app on whatever devices have that app (worked on both my iPhone 4S and KFHD). I had 2 options for watching my UV movie on the KFHD; 1) stream over wi-fi, or 2) download whole movie over wi-fi once to enable me to watch it offline. I tried out both ways and had no issues watching my movie..

Hope this helps!
