I use the readability "Send to Kindle" bookmarklet excessively, sending maybe twenty news articles a day to my @free.kindle.com email address. Then, four days ago, it stopped working.

I have kindle@readability.com on my approved list for sending personal documents. Is anyone else having this problem? I can email myself personal documents but these ones don't go through.

I want to determine if the problem is with amazon or readability, so if anyone who uses the bookmarklet could let me know if it currently works or not, that would be most helpful.

I use chrome also. I go to the readability site and log in. Then I open an article and click on a "Send to Kindle" link. Then I wait and wait, but never get the email from amazon saying "Your Amazon Kindle Document is Here"

I also tried using the chrome extension, but still no delivery.

Is there any way to check if amazon is rejecting the personal documents?

are they showing up up under Personal Documents on your MYK page?

Jason Biggs says:
They do not show up under personal documents. I have archiving turned off, so where they would normally appear is under "Pending Deliveries" or "Recent Successful Deliveries" but they aren't there.

Ah hah -- Readability's Twitter feed says it's a problem with the free.kindle.com address.

I tried changing to kindle.com from free.kindle.com -- still doesn't work for me either. Instapaper push to Kindle doesn't work reliably, though some articles get through, showing up in my email as usual before being downloaded to my kindle.

So I have mixed results by switching to the @kindle.com address. When I do it from my work computer, Windows OS and Chrome browser, it works just fine. When I do it from my laptop at home, running the latest Ubuntu, it doesn't work in Chrome but it does work in Firefox. It's totally annoying having to open another browser just to fish for news articles. Also, I never get email reminders anymore about the successful delivery.

Is Amazon interfering with Readability in order to get people to use its own service? I found this page: http://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle , and tried it and it works, but the resulting article on my Kindle is formatted so horribly that I won't use it again.

Scratch that, now I can't get the readability to work on any browser. This is very frustrating, as I use my kindle almost exclusively for reading news articles from the web. Now the only thing that is working for me is Instapaper. I tag the articles with the "Read Later" bookmarklet, then when I've tagged enough I go to the instapaper web page, click on "Account" at the top, and press the "Send Now" button.

And now, I'm getting the emailed docs from readability a full 18 hours after I sent them. Is all very confusing, LOL.

Seems like they are still working on the issue at readability. I'm using klip.me as an alternative right now.

Months have passed - still no resolution. Too bad, it was a cool idea.
