Good morning, afternoon, or evening to you all! Welcome to Friday's edition of Free Books and Chat :)

So excited to share the news of my second niece being born on July 11. 8 pounds, 5 oz, 20.5 inches long, and only 1 week overdue! They named her Jocelyn. Mom and baby appear to be doing well - they were only at the hospital for 1 hour before she was born. Mommy and Daddy get to stay in the hospital tonight, so (finally) we are allowed to babysit the 2 year old overnight! Unfortunately, due to my allergies to their pets, I will still escape to the hotel tonight, but I may be the only one who gets a decent sleep...

Even with all the good baby news. I'll still be excited to catch up with anyone who drops by. I hope to hear of some good books, and always hope for good news as well. But, I like to think of our thread as a relaxed place to hang out. Drop by when you can, fill us in on what you would like to share, but also enjoy real life and the people that you love and cherish.

¸.*♥*.¸¸.*♥* FRIDAY QUESTION *♥*.¸¸.*♥*.

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

What day of the week were you born on? Is this true for you?

I'm a Wednesday's child - but I try not to be a complainer, and so far don't feel very full of woe...

Thanks DonnaBeeGood for a great start. We are all so happy and excited for the arrival of Jocelyn. Beautiful name for a beautiful baby, I'm sure.

I am a Thursday child. When I set my mind d to something my determination sets in and maybe that is the "far to o part". Competition nature in a way. Lol

Well, I'd say that baby Jocelyn is pretty determined if she decided to be born in one hour of pushing!

Thursday's child has far to go,.................
No Job, Hurt ankle, kitchen falling apart... yard is a mess... house is a mess.....
Yeah, I would say that I have to go...

Your very welcome Donna! This is such a special occasion that little Jocelyn, mom and dad, grandmother, cousin and of course Aunt Donna deserve some recognition and celebration.

Oh Sandy, you have come to the right place for some mental support. Wish I could do more than send you virtual hugs. Ice cream has calcium, maybe that would help your ankle get some strength?
And this Wednesday's child here has a messy house too!

I have to admit that about a month ago I stopped taking my anti-depressents.. And I have noticed that I'm actually feeling pretty good..
I don't feel like I'm having crazy mood swings and stuff like that..

Thanks, shall update :)

I actually had no idea what day I was born on so I googled it. I was born on a Friday. I was born 2 weeks early and on the day that my mothers friends were having a baby shower for her. She missed it! LOL

My sons were born on Thursday, Sunday and Monday... In that order.

Oh Sandy, be careful stopping your antidepressant. Please talk to your PCP about this.
Love your wit. And wouldn't want any hardships for you.

Stable and feeling good are two things to appreciate, that's for sure. I'm glad that I'm not going to go through post-partum myself. Hard to keep an eye on my sister long distance though, and she's scheduled to be back to work on August 6.

I'll catch you all in the morning. Hopefully the 2 year old goes to sleep soon... :) It's her first night away from her mommy.

Thanks for starting Donna and congratulations on the safe arrival of your new niece. I was born on Tuesday but I am as graceful as a hippopotomus so I think I was perhaps born on the wrong day, hope all the poorly are feeling better Kaykay feeling sick is horrid so hope it doesent last to much longer, hope Jo is finding her nights easier and that Lob is also feeling more herself. Another beautiful day here in the UK hubby has ordered a rest day for my ankle so I will go splat in the garden with my kindle.

An update on my thumb ligaments and the cortisone infiltration. It works! Pain is at 20% (roughly) of what it was before and flexibility is coming back. All's good :)

Thanks Donna,

Congratulations to all your family on the birth of baby Jocelyn! What a beautiful glad it went well ( and quickly) too.

Glad to hear you're still resting your ankle. Get lots of reading time!

You've been missed and we are wishing you brighter days ahead.....sorry for so many problems all hitting at once.

I've had a few cortisone shots and they were like little miracles....glad to hear your thumb is better.

Once again you have done great artwork and quotes! I appreciate all your contributions here and I am hopeful for your upcoming treatment. I'm glad your breathing is easier too...we need you better for our next party!!🍹💃🍹
