Some (not many) Kindle books can be loaned one time only, ever, for 14 days, as set by the publishers. For more information go to: http://amazon.com/kindle-lending

Really depends on what you read. Big name authors don't seem to let theirs be lent out. None that I have anyway. I've only ever loaned out one series. In the manage your content page, just click on the square with the dots, if it's loanable it will say. You click that and there you go.

If the eBook is not loanable, you can always loan your Kindle with the book on it. Many people have a basic Kindle, just for loaning. It's just like a paper book then - you loan the paper that has the words on it.

I just ordered two books yesterday and they went to my old kindle. It is no longer usable and I can't get them to come to my new one. How can I get them to transfer.

Go to your Manage your Content and Devices page and send them to the new Kindle. While there you may want to unregister your "old kindle" to avoid this issue.

Hover you mouse over "Your Account" in the upper right hand corner and Manage Your Content and Devices is half way down the menu
