bookcrazy says:
I am in the process of figuring out calibre. I have downloaded calibre. I found the book "Little Men" and have it converted so I can put it on my paperwhite.

1. how do I put this book onto my kindle?
2. How do I put my amazon e-books into calibre?

I will probably have more questions but this is where I am starting.

You will get more Calibre help from Calibre than from Amazon. Some of us use Calibre but their support is located here - http://calibre-ebook.com/help

You will notice they have how to videos, frequently asked questions and even a very active forum to answer your questions

As good as the Calibre program is, their help files can be a bit confusing. The easiest way to transfer books from your Calibre library to your Kindle is by USB transfer.

Open the Calibre program on your computer then connect your Kindle to your computer by usb. Depending on how your computer is configured, an autoplay dialog box may pop up on your screen. If so, just close it. Wait a minute until the program recognizes that the device is connected. When it does, two new icons will appear in the Calibre toolbar. "On Device" will show a column with a green check mark beside all the books currently stored on your Kindle. If you want to remove any of these books from the device, select them then click the down arrow next to the "Remove" icon and select the last option, "Remove matching books from device". You can select multiple books using using Click+Shift or Click+Alt.

To add books to the device, select the book(s) then click the "Send to Device" button. In the lower right corner of the Calibre screen there's a "Jobs" icon with a gearwheel next to it. When you start an action, the gear will begin spinning. When it stops spinning, the action is complete and a green check mark will appear in the On Device column next to the new titles you sent to your Kindle.

There are also several ways to send books from Calibre to your Kindle wirelessly but they are more complicated to set up for first time users so I suggest that for now you use the USB transfer method. If you want to figure out wifi transfer methods later, do a Google search and you'll find the information.
