Dan says:
I have some points from a cc that I would love to use for kindle books. but i can't set up one click to use them, or buy books without one click. Is there a way to do either? Thanks!

Can you buy an Amazon gift card with your points? Then apply the GC to your account. It's a roundabout way of doing this, but I don't think you can do it directly.

it appears i'd have to buy an actual gift card, and not an electronic one. i'd rather not, but if that's what it takes, I'd do it (thanks!)

I do have one click turned off, just verified that, but for Kindle eBooks, it is my only option to purchase. Sometimes simple isn't simple!

It's my understanding that digital content (or at least kindle books) can ONLY be purchased with one-click. You can turn it off in your settings, but that only applies to to other purchases, not eBooks. Right?

That's my understanding as well. I've never been able to purchase a Kindle book with anything other than 1-click.

Deleted my great advice - just noticed I could not get it to work for books. Sorry for the misleading info...

Thanks for all the replies. Guess I'll have to see what I can do about getting gift cards.

you can get Amazon gift cards from Best Buy, Target, many grocery stores. just buy one there and then you put the code from the back of the gift card into your Amanzon account and you would be good to go. sounds like you want to be able to do it on a book by book basis but you can get $25 cards at those stores which would not be too large of a pre-purchase investment (especially if you like best sellers!)
sorry it does not seem to be working the way you want but at least you are getting something for free!

I checked the Amazon Visa I have and it says there are restrictions on specifically digital content. On my card the best way is to take the reward as cash and directly put it into the cc balance and then buy whatever I want with 1 click. Inconvenient but doable.
