Cannot connect to

My Kindle HD will not connect to download movies or TV. I get an error message stating -"An error has occurred. Please try again".
What error is occurring? Why am I not able to connect?

James - Are you connected to wi fi? Have you used your HD before (did you finish the registration process)? Are you located in the US? If not, where are you located?
