I saw a post here before about people on amazon using swag bucks and then cashing out for amazon cards. One lady said she actually paid for her kindle this way. My question is how long does it take to get your gift cards ? Do they come in the mail or are they ecards that you will get a code for. Mine are verifed but not in my gift cards section. Help ?

I usually receive mine in 5-10 days some people have posted as long as two weeks. You receive an email that your Gift Card code has been posted. Copy and paste it from your swagbucks account into your amazon account to add Gift Card.

And I have a question - do you have to win them? Or you will just "get" them by using their search engine?

Yeah its been 2 1/2 weeks but i had to have my account verified so maybe that has something to do with it. It wanted to verify my text but couldnt pick up my phone so they had to mail me a pin #. Thanks for the help though, im sure they will be coming soon, i have $25 bucks lined up :)

You buy them with your swag points. You can search and get points as well as doing the daily poll, watching short videos in the offers pane, completing the offers, doing surveys, etc.

Takes 450 swagpoints to get a $5 card, don't bother with the larger cards they take more points than the $5 ones.

I have turned in points and got 1 card already and about to get my 2nd. Once you turn in your points it takes about 5-10 days for them to send it to you. You will get an email and the code will be posted in the Gift Card section on your swag account.

www.swagbucks.com It is a way to earn points that you can use to purchase gift cards and prizes. It is totally free.

It's basically a search engine. You earn points as you search, generally about 25-30 per day. There are other ways on their site to earn point...surveys (which never work for me) etc. Watching short videos, that type of thing. I've gotten 13 - $5 Amazon Gift Cards since I joined in mid April.

Tisha...you should remove your referral. It's not allowed here and you'll be reported. That is why no one else posted theirs.

That's a cheat site and will get you banned from Swagbucks if they find out you're using it.

No problem - I've seen too many people lose their accounts (and all their Swagbucks) for using sites that give out codes.
There's a rule against posting codes until after they expire - and people on the Facebook wall who are all too happy to rat you out if they think you've had anything to do with those 3rd party sites, I'm afraid. The other rule they're really sticklers about is that there has to be only one account per household - wish they'd change that one, since my adult daughter lives with us and would love to get her own Swagbucks. She actually lives in her own area downstairs, but we have the same mailing address.

Love the Swagbucks!

In my opinion, Swag Bucks is a ripoff because it takes too many of them for the amount you get on their Amazon money. A 5 dollar Amazon gift card should not cost you 9 or 10 times that in swag bucks.

It doesn't cost anything to earn them. It's easy, do a few searches per day. Turn them in when you have 450. How is that a ripoff? They are "virtual", You need 500 real pennies to get a $5 gift card from a coinstar machine.

I'm one of those who doesn't believe that earning these things is "free". It is a voluntary expenditure of time and energy in exchange for a minimal amount of real money. In my case, having $25 a month in "Amazon money" that doesn't come out of my pocket is worth the time I spend earning the Swagbucks, and it takes me far more time than simply doing a few searches per day. I do think it costs something to earn them, it's just that I'm willing to pay that cost in exchange for the offered benefit.

I just signed up for Swagbucks after reading about it here, but I'm not getting credited when I search. I asked SB about it, and they told me that "not every search wins Swagbucks." But they didn't tell me how to know which do! Anyone here willing to help out with advice so I can start getting credit for my searches?

In general I find that I get a win in the morning, another in the afternoon and a third in the evening. My first search is about 8:30am EST. If I search 'swagbucks facebook', 'swagbucks', 'amazon kindle discussion' and 'weather' I usually get my first win. You also can search one term and just look on page 2, 3, 4. Wins are random but there are times when everyone seems to be getting wins at the same time. Swagbucks facebook is a good place to find out if lots of people are getting wins. Also we sometimes post on the long thread here.

Thanks for the help, BethW. I didn't realize it was so random. Bummer! I don't think I stand a chance.

beesong, you will know if you get swagbucks because it will say so on the search page. Just do normal searches, but don't do random searches over and over again. Most of us get 3 results per day, morning, afternoon, and evening.

Read through the other thread about SB's. There are ways, if you are at your computer a good deal during the day, to earn at least 80 per day.

I average $20 - $25 in Amazon Gift Cards per month. Using the search engine, daily polls and an occasional survey and I've got extra added for my book purchases. Win-Win.
