L. Brown says:
I have reset my Kindle Fire using the directions on the site. I've checked the WiFi setting and it says everything is connected. However, when I try to download a book/app, I get a message that there is no Internet connection. It tells me to check the connection and try again. I'm very frustrated. Help, please.

Which reset? The one that you hold the power button for 20 to 30 seconds?

Have you told the Fire to forget the connection and then re-tried?

Are you able to browse the Internet (any site)?

Vickie-yes holding the power button for 30 seconds. I also told the Fire to forget the connection and then reset. I am able to open the Internet and go to any site. This is what is confusing me. I have Internet connection, but when i try to download a book or app I get an error message telling me that I have no Internet connection.

Are you sure your Fire is still registered to your Amazon account?

This may be irrelevant, but is this a model with 3G? Is it trying to connect via a 3G signal that it can't get?

Sounds like you've done the basics. Now I would suggest a call to Kindle support. Click on help at the top or bottom of any Amazon page and then the contact us button on the next page. Answer the questions and the correct contact info will be shown. I suggest using phone or chat for quickest response. I love the option for Amazon to call me.
