It is Christmas Eve now (for me) and I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. There is such a diverse group of people on the Kindle Forum that it would be nice to hear how people are celebrating Christmas.

I am working Christmas Eve and Christmas night. My son and I celebrated Christmas in the beginning of December. I deposited money in his bank account so he can buy what he wants and he sends me an Amazon Gift Card so I can buy more books.

I hope everyone has a very nice holiday.

I'm doing my favorite thing for Christmas -- going to the movies and then dinner afterwards.

I forgot to say "Merry Christmas, everyone. And to those who don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a great Wednesday!"

We will have the family here for Christmas Day - just the 9 of us from 6 to 89 years of age. We have it at our place because we have air-conditioning and two toilets!

Ham and eggs and champagne & orange juice for breakfast, with chicken, ham, salads and fruit and ice cream and stuff for a late lunch. Then a nap and more food!

Have a happy and safe holiday season, everyone! And get some good reading time for yourself.

Thanks, Sue. And a very merry Christmas to you.

I'll have dinner with my small family tomorrow evening. My child grandnieces will be the focus of the evening. And we'll brunch with good friends on Christmas day, the theme of our food will be our very different heritages. I'll think about you working, and I'll be grateful to you, someone needs to keep our world spinning while most of us take time off!

Merry Christmas from down under in Australia. I'm just about to share a quiet Christmas Eve feast of champagne and cold lobster with my husband, our regular Christmas Eve tradition.

We had friends over for a festive and fairly traditional Christmas lunch last Sunday. We started with Aussie seafood, then we had turkey with roast veges, and finished with pavlova and Christmas tiramisu (an invention of mine that blends the traditional Christmas pudding flavours of spice and dried fruit, into an Italian-style trifle).

Tomorrow our family arrive from interstate and we will enjoy a festive dinner that will probably last well into the evening.

I wish you all a very merry Christmas, happy, joyful and full of fun, wherever you may be and whatever you are doing.

Being only 6 hours or so till Christmas Day here, it's just coming up to the time we Aussie kindlers can expect Amazon to send out our Kris Kindle gifts. And I know one of my gifts from family is an Amazon gift card, so I'm sure I'll be spending some of my Christmas Day with my nose in a book :-) But my own family gets together in February, usually, so the process is very long-drawn-out.

Merry Christmas, everyone, for whenever it starts and however long it lasts.

This is the first Christmas we've celebrated in our own home in thirteen years so we're making the most of it LOL. In past years we've travelled to Melbourne to spend Christmas with the family but times change and, this year, we are here in Sydney :-). Who know where we'll be next year ;-)

Merry Christmas to my fellow kindlers!!

My Mom and I are going to fix a meatloaf this year and share it with the dogs! After all they like special treats too! The pug loves to look at the christmas lights.

Am going to play with my new toy, Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Got it early so have a head start but am having fun. No matter our ages even us big kids have toy boxes full of goodies!!

Please be careful what information you post in this very public forum. Even if you use a forum name which is not your real name, you may not be hard to track down online. Posting when you'll be away from home isn't a wise or safe thing to do.

Tomorrow is a huge festive lunch with parents, in-laws and siblings and their families. Therw will be about 40 of us together, ranging in age from one year old to an eighty years young grandma.

That is a very good point. So if anyone thinks it would be OK to break into my home--change your mind. My son will be there all night while I am working. He is in a pretty bad mood lately, not sure why.

I still hope everyone has a good time over the holidays

I hope you like your Surface Pro 2. I have the Surface Pro, and I love it!

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates, and Happy Week to those who don't. (-: I hope everyone has a great 2014.

We'll be home opening presents; it's just the two of us. Will probably call family members during the day, and enjoy our prime rib dinner.

For Christmas Eve we will have a traditional Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes (although no one counts-sometimes there's more, sometimes less- and we have seafood as well as fish) with my mom, my local siblings and their kids. My contribution is Ina Garten's delicious Scallops Gratin (minus the Prosciutto and Pernod-I'll edit to post a link) and Christmas treats (cookie and Donut Muffins) that the kids and I baked. We'll consider midnight mass but likely decide we're too tired.

Tomorrow will be a quiet day at home with just our little family. Cinnamon rolls , coffee and hot cocoa (mimosas if I remember to get some Champagne ;)) as we open presents, mass and then eating pretty much all day :) We have a ham, a beef tenderloin and veggie sides. I hope to get a good deal of reading in.

Wishing everyone wonderful days ahead, however you are spending them :)

And thanks for all so many of you have contributed to my reading in 2013. Whether a recommendation about a book you enjoyed, a discount on a book or just a bit of Kindle wisdom, so many of you touched me in some way. You are all most appreciated!

We will go see a movie (Saving Mr. Banks) for Christmas Eve tonight. Tomorrow morning we will open presents around 7:00 am, eat Cinnamon Rolls and stocking candy around 8:00 and wish we had my son, his wife and our 7 month old granddaughter with us this year. (We get them next year and we are already planning the festivities.) We will have a Turkey Dinner and I will sit in my new recliner and read lots of books. My daughter is getting a sewing machine so my wife and her will probably play with that all day. My son did not have room in his car to bring all of the presents we sent for my granddaughter (1st one) to his in-law so December 26th they will Skype with us and we will watch her open some of the best presents from us. :-)

We are expecting 10 family members in about an hour, and dw is busy on finishing touches. We will have too much food and plenty of seasonal beverages. There will be much laughter and lots of love. Tomorrow dw and I will have a quiet Christmas with leftovers and watch "Christmas Story".

Thanks so far I am liking the surface although windows 8.1 is giving me gray hair! So still trying to figure out stuff. I just have to get my brain to remember it is a pc not a tablet for functioning. Love watching movies on it much better than ipad in fact. However still prefer my paperwhite or ipad mini for reading, lighter weight! Merry Christmas!!

There's an app for that called Fresh Paint that I absolutely covet! If you do anything artistic - heck even if you don't - it looks amazing. It had a blurb in one of my magazines.

Joyous Season of Light to all and hoping some dreams do come true for each of you!
