With the lock/unlock cover, mine always opens to the 'screen saver', why not just open to the homepage? Is there a way to tell it to do that without shouting? And don't suggest speaking softly/tenderly.

Is there a settings adjustment I'm missing?

No, that can't be changed.

Sorry to hear that, John, but thanks.

That's a bit clunky. Most tablets will open to the home page when opening the cover. Maybe I'll give tech service a call with a request.

I am not sure about "most". My Toshiba tablet opens to a lock screen, and so does our Google Nexus 7" tablet.

I agree; both my Gtab and Xoom tablets also use lock screens (as does my cell phone to prevent accidental "pocket" dialing).

My Nook HD+ and iPad 2 open to the home screen. So, in this case, most tablets do open to the home page. Admittedly this world is a bit on the small side. :-)
