Wireless suddenly stopped working

I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting to the router and that didn't work. It shows as being connected on my Kindle but when I try to do anything Internet related, nothing works.

It might be helpful to others to know how you solved your Internet loss problem.

Despite what others have recommended, if only one device is connected to the Wi-Fi source a failure to assess the Internet can be caused by the modem. Unless you have other devices connected to the Wi-Fi network that are working properly, both the modem and the router should have power removed. The modem is powered first and allowed to complete its start up sequence as indicated by the LEDs on the modem before the router is powered up.
