Brian - If you're talking about viewing videos on a Fire you never watch Prime videos (or any Amazon Instant Video, for that matter) using the browser. You need to go to the Videos tab above your Carousel to do that. You don't need Flash in any way, shape or form to watch Amazon Instant Videos on a Fire.

And if anyone reading this has one of the new Fires running the Mojito 3.0 OS, you can't install Flash on them at all. They are based on Jelly Bean which will *not* run Flash.

Interesting editing job. ;(

Oh, and Flash won't work on Jelly Bean at all.

No, Adobe discontinued it after Ice-cream Sandwich was introduced:

"On September 10th 2013, Adobe released Flash Player 11.1.111.73 for Android 2.x and 3.x and 11.1.115.81 for Android 4.0.x in keeping with statements made in our publicly available Flash Roadmap. This is the final update release of Flash Player for the Android operating system. "

Brian, this being a Kindle forum, our comments tend to be Kindle-centric. That last Flash indeed does not seem to run on 4.2.2. Jelly Bean based Fire OS 3.0 (although there are many reports on the net about successful use on other "incarnations" of Jelly Bean).

Yeah, you are right about this forum. I realized after the fact that I was in the wrong "slot" or "room" to place this wee bit of assistance for those complaining of no prime app. I am trying to help and I have never, ever posted, much less intitated a thread on any website other than my PhD courseroom junk, but that is a different beast altogether. I guess my inexperience shines through. At any rate, I hope someone discovers this help via google which is how I found myself here.

I am not sure about 4.2.2, it being so new and all, but for most people who have an older version of Android they may have an opportunity to utilize their prime account with their device and not be tied to a TV or computer if they are not owners of a Kindle.

Thanks.

You would be surprised of the folks who are unhappy with Android and Flash so if you come across one, there may be help.

Thanks again,
BL

Thank you. I have followed several threads around here about watching AIV on an Android, and the suggestions haven't worked with my tablet. I will try your suggestion.

Curt, please let me know if it is successful. It really should work for you and it is nice.
