Have you power cycled the router/modem? Just unplug the power cable from the wall for a minute (time it) and then plug it back in.

After the lights settle down on the router/modem, then hard reset your Kindle. Ensure Fire is fully charged and remove charging cable. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (time it). Press the power button one more time for the Fire to power up. Wait until the home screen is fully loaded and try to connect again.

If this does not work, then let us know what you are trying to do and what the results are including any error messages that you may see.

Were you ever able to connect your HD to your apple modem?

elizabeth, it seems like it might be a good idea to troubleshoot with TWC.

Mike, Elizabeth posted this quite a while ago, and it was a duplicate post anyway. Charles brought it back up again by adding an unrelated question. We're trying to help him.

Well, I didn't really think of it as a "zombie" thread. The OP was only 2 weeks ago, and I really thought that she was still following it. But, if not, maybe she already resolved her problem. Oh, we'll ...

I specifically remember her because she refused all suggestions.

Charles, did your Fire work before on this router?

Have you told your Fire to forget the connection and then re-set it up?

Since you have an "Apple modem" (I assume router or router/modem combo), does your network name have any spaces in it. If so, change your network name to something with no spaces and no special characters. (Apple routers used to default to "Mike's Network" which would cause issues with some devices).

I'll check back tomorrow, to see how you made out.

Elizabeth, the Fire does not come with Flash installed. In fact, Adobe no longer supports Flash for any Android device so there's nothing Amazon can do about it. Most websites have switched to the new protocol but not all. This may be causing your issues if twc requires flash. If you have not installed flash (using one of the many work-arounds previously posted), I suggest doing so and see if that makes a difference.

If you are un-aware of the work-arounds, just do a search using the search box on the right. Be sure to uncheck "Search only this discussion"

Pineapple gave you an answer on the second post in this thread. After that, no one was responding to you (except Mike, who didn't realize this was an older thread), we were trying to help Charles.

She said in another of the threads she started that it is a first gen Fire, in which case it does have Flash. If that's the problem, she probably needs to go into the browser, then settings, and make sure Flash is enabled. One of the updates defaulted that to off some time back in the gen 1 Fires.
