HI, hoping someone can tell me what the message I am getting on my kindle keyboard is saying -- currently have the kindle charging on the computer via USB -- kindle screen is saying "if you want to read or ship on your kindle while continuing to charge over USB. please keep the USB cable attached, BUT EJECT YOUR KINDLE FROM YOUR COMPUTER --- part in caps is the part I don't understand. Thanks

What you need to do is go to 'my computer' and find the drive that your kindle is. Hover and right click to bring up options, one will be eject. Click that, then you can then still read while the kindle is charging.

If you have a Mac, you do the same type of thing. Use the Finder to display Devices. There will be a little down arrow by the Kindle. Clicking that will eject the Kindle.

There are two modes the Kindle can be in when attached to a computer, one is where it's like a USB drive and you can access the files on the Kindle - when you are in that mode you can not use the reader to read books. By 'ejecting' it, you are quitting that mode and returning the reader to it's regular mode. The Kindle is charging in both modes.
