Any way to upgrade my 1st gen Kindle Fire to 2nd gen?
When will "collections" be available?
Is "collections" available on the new HD ?

The only way to "upgrade" is to sell the old one and use the money toward the new. There is a company that will buy the old one, but there have been many complaints about the amount of money, and arguments over the condition of the device. You'd do better selling it yourself on Craig's list or such.

As of now, no Fires support collections. If/when that might change, Amazon has not said.

You can use the free Goodreads app to create collections and track your books within the collections. There is no link between the Goodreads entry and any eBooks on your device however.
