Try downloading the .apk file and side loading it on to your Fire.

Of course you are publicly telling someone how to break the law. Shame on you.

It's hard to follow this discussion since two posts have been deleted. However, I question whether installing this app is a violation of the law. It may be a violation of the Kindle Fire's terms of service, but I am not sure it's against the law. The app is free, if I understand it, so it's not stealing it to download it. I don't think it's the same as piracy, where you download something for free that is supposed to be paid for.

Here are my thoughts: 1. I paid $199 for my Kindle Fire. I figure that gives me the right to use it however I want to. 2. If I were to download the CBD reader, or any other competing ebook reading app, to my Kindle Fire, it wouldn't be so I could avoid buying Kindle books, but just so I have more options. I am still going to buy Kindle books. I *bought* a *Kindle* product, after all. I feel Amazon is misguided in their mission to block other ebook reading apps on the Kindle Fire. They think they're preserving their customer base or something, but they're causing some customers to buy other devices, either in addition to or instead of the Kindle Fire. And the fact that people are trying to find ways to install the apps that Amazon blocks is proof of this.

It isn't against the law to sideload the app. How can it be against Amazon's TOS since Amazon can't punish the device owner unless they go into the unit and "see" the app has been installed? Even if Amazon was so foolish as to violate consumer privacy like that, I hardly think they would advertise it by deleting the app and punishing the owner for a TOS violation. What would that punishment be? Cancelling their Amazon account? This is an honest question, not a poke at Beelisa.

Loads of people have been sideloading apps to enhance their own device since the Fire was first released. This would be no different, IMO. This is the first time I have seen someone claim it is illegal and wag their finger to say, "Shame on you".

The Fire can be 'jailbroken', which allows the *owner* to make any changes in the OS they choose. Again, not illegal.
