Having problems with two kindles on one account.

I got my boys a couple of Kindle Fires for Christmas and put them on the same account for ease of access. They are both in elementary school, so I want to have control of what they're up to. Anyway, I'm trying to add apps, and I add a pay app to one Kindle and try to get it for my other son it says I already have it. Good enough, but it doesn't show up in my "Apps" list on the second kindle under the cloud tab. I understand that'd it could be shady to buy an app and have it on multiple kindles, heck I'd be ok with paying for it twice. So, what's the solution. I tried all day to get the demo of the app on both and it didn't work then suddenly it was in the cloud. Is there a delay between when an app is purchased and it's availability in the cloud? I'm confused with a frustrated 7 year old.

Thanks in advance.

It takes a minute or two to load then just turn off the Kindle and turn it back on, the app should be there. Your son's Kindles are synchronized and all apps, books, movies will be shared. You only have to pay once since they are registered to the same account.

Fud53, no idea what you're talking about other than there's a help link. Elsewhere on the internet forums are where you come to get questions answered from people of similar interest, a little more chance of finding the answer than asking a stranger on the street, guess not here.

Thanks Shan, and I would have thought so too, but this has gone on for hours and the cloud just won't sync automatically. I guess I'll keep being patience. Thanks.

Just ignore Fud - most of the rest of us do :-)

There *are* some things that it's better to ask Customer Service direct about, but there are a lot of things that people here on the forums are capable of, and willing to, answer. IMO your question was in the latter category.

Bryan - you should call customer service. I have a similar set up for my 2 boys and no problems with them both accessing everything. It might be something that you need an exchange for, they get it to you REALLY quickly! Good Luck
