Can't find help for Kindle apps

I have a PC (Windows 8), an iphone, ipod and ipad and cannot download books onto the ipad or iphone. It says that the download limit has been exceeded. I need to find help for my account with 100's of Kindle books. All the help screens seem to relate to use of Kindle hardware, except for a small nod to Android. I may need to find a way to deauthorize devices from my past but don't know how. Alternatively, if someone could just point me to help that doesn't assume a Kindle device it would be very helpful!

Can I just ask, what has become of these devices from your past that you haven't deauthorized?

Well, it is a long story. I'm on my fourth iPhone because of returns, repairs and upgrades. ONe computer crashed and another was replaced. The iPad is a new addition. I've been collecting these books for a few years now.

Most books can be on a maximum of 6 devices/apps. So you'll need to deregister the old apps. and then select Manage My Devices (or something similar). Then deregister the old devices. Sync the current devices with Amazon, then try to d/l the books again.

If that doesn't work, you may need to contact Kindle CS to release licenses. Click help at the top of the page, then click the Contact Us button on the right. I'd recommend having them call you.
