April, which Kindle are you having issues with?

Bixillarla says:
If you have had 7 Kindles and they all have the same problem could it be the way you are handling them?

I have never had a single problem with any of my Kindles.

I would like it if the people who posted whines were at least semi-literate, but there ya go - we can't all have what we want, can we?

If you've had the same problem with 7 Kindles, you should reevaluate how you're handling and charging it.

And you've had 7 of them in what, two months? You're doing something wrong.

There is no Fire 3G model. There is the Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE or there are WiFi only models.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 18, 2013 1:45:19 PM PST
That's only been out since November. You should still be able to return yours for a refund.

**Meya** says:
Do you mean the Fire HD 8.9" with 4G LTE?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 18, 2013 1:47:29 PM PST
Really? We have a 1st gen Fire, a 2nd gen Fire 7", and a 2nd gen Fire 8.9" HD. All behave perfectly, and do exactly what they were advertised to do.

What problem are you having?

Then it is an original Fire, not a Fire 3G.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 18, 2013 1:55:05 PM PST
If you bought your Fire in February of last year, it doesn't have 3G or 4G connectivity.

Now, what's happening with your Fires? And have you contacted Amazon CS about your latest issue?

**Meya** says:
You need to figure out which Kindle model you have. The Fire that was sold in February of 2012 doesn't have 3g. It only uses WiFi.

If you do have a 1st generation Fire, you need to cut to the chase, and contact Kindle CS. There were known issues with the charging port on that model. Click Help at the top of the page, then Contact Us on the next page. The Call Me option works great, I don't recommend email support.

Well, yeah, because your OP was sweet as pie, sheesh.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 18, 2013 1:59:21 PM PST
Then it's a 1st gen, wi-fi only, 7" (because that's all they made) Fire. Which had known issues with charging.

Read this thread: http://www.amazon.com/forum/kindle/ref=cm_cd_search_res_ti?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx1D7SY3BVSESG&cdPage=1&cdSort=oldest&cdThread=Tx3BVTWI4W8QESI#Mx1J5J4ZCIKGFW7

Then get this app: Battery HD

Et voila.

Frank Tuttle says:
The only trouble I've had with my Fire was the time Thor, the German Shepherd, chewed it to pieces.

Even then Amazon replaced it for 99 bucks.

Sorry if you're having trouble, OP, but that's not the typical experience.
