Is there an easy way to just archive one's entire book library into archives without having to do it the hard way, one book at a time?

You could reset your device to factory settings, which would completely wipe out (archive) your books, change your settings, and deregister your device.

Well, all of your titles are *already* in your Archive/Cloud/Library, whether or not you have a copy on any device. But if you've got more books on a device than you'd like, and you want to start over, yes. A factory reset wipes it clean, and you can then send only the titles you want, for right now, to your devices.

people have found that doing that on a Kindle Fire does not free up space - they've deleted everything, rebooted, synced, etc and were still getting Memory Full messages

Also, while this is about books, keep in mind that doing a reset back to factory default wipes out everything, including books, games, music, documents, everything. Granted, all the content that you've purchased in those categories from Amazon is still on the 'cloud' (Amazon's servers) for you to download again you will lose any levels or progress in any games you were playing. The exception is those games who's status might be saved when using Amazon Game Circle. Not all games use Game Circle and I believe you need to turn on the use of Game Circle by going to MORE>APPLICATIONS>GAME CIRCLE and turning on the Whispersync for Games option.

Also, any books, music, games, documents, etc that you downloaded from other sources such as from your PC and other places (not from Amazon) are also lost when you do a reset back to factory defaults. Those items are not automatically backed up on the 'cloud'. You would need to reload those on your own if you do a factory reset. Just some things to keep in mind.

DO NOT delete using a computer connection. The kindle won't realize the items are gone, will still consider the space occupied.
