No current e-ink Kindles have TTS. The last one was the Touch, and before that the Keyboard. Look for refurbs if you need one of those.

The current Fire models all have TTS, and the implementation -- sound quality, and "naturalness" of the speech -- is notably better than it was on any of the e-ink models.

I currently listen to TTS via the Kindle Fire which, as mentioned, has superior voice output. At the same time, I have about three Kindle Keyboards as backups, and they have TTS as well as free 3G from which I can send emails, texts, etc. during emergencies. The latter is one I usually have with me.
