I know that the otterbox has a built in screen protector, but I already have a screen protector on my Fire.
If I got the otterbox, do I have to remove the screen protector I currently have on, or can I just leave it on w/o having to worry about sensitivity issues?

You could just try it with the current screen protector in place, but I'll bet having 2 would mess with the touch screen.

i find the screen protectors more of an annoyance then a help, i have an otter box for my iphone and you do not need extra protection besides the otter box, really you dont, the guy i was dating ran his iphone over and the otter box protected it

Hey David I was in Best Buy over the weekend and they have a case that I think is very similar to the otter box, for the Kindle Fire. I purchased it for our KF and it's great. Just wanted to throw that out there if you wanted to do a simple in store purchase (return if needed) to try with the screen protector. The case I purchased also comes with a stand. I think it was around $50. It has been dropped 3 times already bounced twice on a tile floor, and survived wonderfully in this case.

I once purchased an otter box and the screen protector it came with was average quality. However, the case is great quality. So save the screen protector for later in case your current protector gets damaged.
