Tris (Jadi) says:
Ok, but I'm not sure how this works. And thanks!

First the e-book would have to be lending enabled and I'm pretty sure this one is not.

**Meya** says:
It is not lendable. It is on the list for Kindle Owners Prime Lending however. If the OP has a paid Prime membership, he/she could borrow it.

 Ann says:
Mockingjay (The Final Book of The Hunger Games) is lending-enabled. It's also available in the Kindle Owners' Lending Library, if you are a Prime member.

Heather will need your email address. Once she loans the book you'll get an email to retrieve the loan. I'd create a throwaway email account and post it here. Don't use your actual email since you'll end up with spam from posting it here.

I've looked more than once in both places where it would say that and I'm not seeing it.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 7, 2012 10:47:02 AM PST
I've lent it out before, Dittie, I think it is lendable.

Actually my friend has a kindle and said he lent it out already and could to do it again. So, I believe it is lendable. I have Prime, but I already used it this month for Catching Fire. Please help! Lol

I don't see it on the Amazon listing either but I loaned mine to a co-worker.

I've known some to change and I sure don't see it on this product page.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 7, 2012 10:48:32 AM PST
You can only lend a book once.

Diane Orr says:
How does this lending work? I have a kindle touch and my daughter has the same. I thought we had to be on the same account to lend to each other. Also I am considering buying a Kindle Fire and can't decide. I know the Kindle Touch is easy to read with no glare and was wondering if the Fire is as good and do you think you can read it outside like on the beach?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 7, 2012 10:55:31 AM PST
No. You can't read a Fire at the beach outside the same as an eink kindle. different screens, the Fire is LCD and backlit.

Only certain books are lendable, they can be lent one time for two weeks. You follow the prompts at the book's link on your MYK page.

If you and your daughter are on the same account, you have unrestricted access to all the books on your account.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 7, 2012 10:57:09 AM PST
If a book is lending enabled by the publisher you can loan it one time for 14 days. No, the Fire would be horrible at the beach. You can barely see the screen riding in a car on a sunny day.

 Ann says:
Your Kindles would have to be registered to the same account in order to freely share all of your books.

You can lend books across accounts once, for 14 days, and only if the publisher has enabled lending. See http://amazon.com/kindle-lending for details.

The Fire has a backlit LCD screen, similar to a phone or computer screen. It's not going to be as good as an e-ink Kindle for reading outside.

Dittie, both links in this thread give me the lending enabled label. I am pretty sure it is still lendable. I know one of our friends lent this one not too long ago. I don't think there will be a problem lending the book.

V Flores,
I just need your email address and then the book is yours

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 7, 2012 10:59:58 AM PST
It's pretty strange. Someone asked about it before and I checked it then, too.

 Ann says:
That's odd. Same edition, ASIN, etc. Are you in the U.S.?
