Turns out I'll need to buy a wifi router for my Kindle Fire. What kind should I get?

I have this one. I find both my 1st Gen Kindle Fire, and my Kindle Fire HD connect just fine. We also have 1 computer, and 4 Roku devices that connect to the router, all without issues.

With the reviews of the linked routers I would go with the Medialink. I have always had bad luck with Netgear myself. If I had to choose only one company to go with personally I would choose Linksys.

I've always used Linksys routers and I've had good results with them. They're the best selling routers and they have a good long reputation.

I've set up other brands of routers for various friends and all of them have worked well. I think the setup on Linksys is easier than the rest but that might be just because I'm used to them. They're all easy to set up.

Kate, I'm using this one:

Medialink - Wireless N Broadband Router - 150 Mbps - 2.4GHz - 802.11n w/ Internal Antenna

which is currently $39.99. It has a 4.3 star customer average customer rating (out of 5), with 5,104 reviews.

We run:

* A Kindle Fire 8.9"
* A Kindle Fire HD 7"
* A Roku
* A desktop
* A laptop
* A Kindle Paperwhite
* A "Mindle" (the entry level Kindle)
* Two SmartPhones
* A Blackberry

sometimes all at the same time, and it seems to work well. Not sure I named everything. :)
