My Kindle is almost 2 years old and is on and working, but the screen is so messed up. I used to use it on it side alot, and i think that is where the problems started. I know it's on because i can use the screenshot function and I hear a shutter, whenever i press the lock but it looks like this. Can anyone help?

Try a reset. Make sure it's charged, then remove the charger. Press and hold the power button for a full 30 seconds, ignoring any message on the screen. Release the button, then wait a couple seconds.

Then, press it again once, and walk away. Let it do its thing; it should reset to the Carousel/Home screen.

Thank you , I don't know how to post pictures, but it does not show an image on the screen. It either has white with black squares, in an order like pop art, do you know how to post images?

You can't post images here.

Did you DO the reset?

Then it sounds like 1) a broken device, and 2) time to call Customer Service.

They might help you troubleshoot it. But if it's dead, it's dead, and there's nothing anyone can do about that.

Let me rephrase that -- of course they'll try to help you figure out if it can be restarted.
