Sorry if this has been asked before and I can't find it...

I want to remove (but only temporarily) songs or an album from the Kindle Fire. Basically, I bought my daughter a couple of CDs for Christmas and they auto loaded onto her Kindle. Great feature because she likes the CDs and also being able to listen on her Kindle, but not so great in that...she'll see it before Christmas!

Is there anyway to temporarily hide them?

Thanks in advance.

I think you would have to get a hold of her Fire and delete them manually. What you should have done was indicate that the CDs were a gift when you ordered them.

Thanks! I didn't see how to do that, but I did find a way to remove it from the carousel, so at least it isn't displaying on there.

I do want her to be able to listen to them from her Kindle, so I didn't want to select gift because (I'm under the impression) that wouldn't enable the AutoRip cloud/feature. I guess I was hoping that I could tell it when it would appear on the Kindle instead of automatically...oh well...not that big of a deal.

But thanks again for your suggestions!

On second thought, my original answer was wrong.

Her Fire is presumably registered to your account, since the CDs were auto-loaded onto it. However, the music is only in her cloud and not actually on the Fires unless it was manually downloaded onto the Fire.. If she has not noticed the music in her cloud yet, you could always delete it from the cloud and then re-upload it at Christmas.

If she deletes it from the Cloud, it will be gone forever. Go to Music on the Kindle, if they are shown there, on the DEVICE side, hold finger on until the drop down shows up, tap "remove from device".
