Amazon, why do you make it so difficult to start a new discussion?

Once I've searched and been unable to find a discussion of a topic, I find it very difficult to start a new discussion. Can we please have a link in plain sight for that?

Okay.

Hi Carol,

What exactly do you mean? You began this discussion - is there another place you're having trouble starting one?

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 8, 2014 12:45:58 PM PST
The link is in plain sight. You must have found it because you started this discussion.

A link to the forums on the homepage. It took me 3 years to notice that Amazon even had them....

Don't highjack someone else's post that has nothing to do with the subject.

Perhaps you did it because you couldn't find the Start a New Discussion link like the OP?

To be fair, once you have searched and checked a few threads, you would have to find your way back to the main forum page. There is no link on the search results page or at the bottom of an individual thread.....

Is this a joke?

Nope, I can go all the way down on this discussion thread, all the way to the list of international links, and the only thing I see is a box to add to THIS discussion.

ETA: Okay, tiny tiny blue print after see all discussions. Forgot about that. And I've been here a loooooong time.

Etc stupid autocorrect.

Under a list of 'Recent discussions' I see a hyperlink to 'See all discussions' and 'Start a new discussion'. On this page.

Is there a fool moon that I'm not aware of?

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 8, 2014 1:18:18 PM PST
Yeah, I was looking for the box like on the forum page. Completely forgot about that link!!!!

That's where I see it, and it isn't tiny. It's the same text size/font as everything else.

Brunette says:
It's sandwiched between the lists, so I can see how people might miss it. They bolded it, at least.

There IS a link in plain sight. It says "start a new discussion."

Alas, it is at the bottom of the main current discussion list, necessitating hitting the Page Down key once or twice, rather than being in 24 pt bold type with blinking lights surrounding it. Life is hard.

No, just a tired poster who usually ignores that part of the page on my Fire because I usually don't have need to wander down there....
