What do you mean "directly"? There are several ways to copy files to an HDX. Files could contain pictures, videos, documents (text, Word, Excel, etc.), books, etc. The files would normally be on a PC or another tablet, smart Phone. That is covered in the manual.

Don - You'd need to use technology like Eye-Fi to do that.
