There's an article here: http://androinica.com/2009/09/6-great-tools-to-manage-podcasts-on-android/
that details podcasting on Android. Unfortunately, it seems that most of the apps are not available for the Fire. The iTunes method would probably work. Also, in the Amazon app store, there's the MyPOD app, but I can't vouch for it, as I haven't used it. I also like Stitcher, although it's stream-only (no downloading), and not every podcast is available (you can't add by URL).

So, not a perfect answer, but hopefully it's somewhat helpful.

I had a terrible time trying to get podcasts to work on my Fire. I was used to using my IPhone and it's literally a snap to listen to podcasts on the Apple system with its tools.

I now have a pretty good setup and it works well, not as slick and seamless as the Apple product, but still works well and I can listen to any podcast I want. Its called BEYOND POD. The icon for it looks like a coffee cup. After you get it going you can search for podcasts and if you don't find what you are looking for, you can look for the web address for the podcast and then click on that and a box will come up and ask you if you want to use BEYOND POD to open it, choose YES and you'll have it.

Pretty darn good program and I have been pleased with it.

Good luck.

I agree, spent loads on time on websites etc.. trying to download podcasts rather than just be limited to wifi. I was getting to the point of thinking that the Kindle Fire wasn't going to be any good. However BeyondPod works - it probably has almost too much functionality if anything. I ended up importing feeds from Google.

I downloaded the beyondpod app...it said "downloading" but now I can't find it??? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks
