Books won't show up on kindle

I have just bought a book on my kindle the pervious night and it still hasn't show up two days later. Please help! It didn't show up when I went to manage kindle either.

Does it show on your Manage Your Kindle page under pending downloads?

1. Turn on wireless and do a sync and check for new items
2. next, look in your archives/cloud and see if it's there - if so click on it and it will download
3. go to your Manage Your Kindle page on http://amazon.com, hover over the actions button next to the title and select send to Kindle (make sure you pick the correct kindle if you have more than one registered to your account), then turn on your wireless and do a sync and check for new items
4. reboot/reset your kindle (fully charged, unplugged, wireless on, hold power button in for 30 seconds), then start at step 1
4.a. Deregister then reregister if you have an e-ink kindle then start at step 1 - DO NOT do this if you have a Kindle Fire
5. try to send it to your kindle through usb ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_k4land_trans_usb?nodeId=200728710#usb )
6. contact customer support using the orange Contact Us button to the right

and make sure your kindle is the default kindle

you will have a welcome letter, a user guide (it will tell you how to use your kindle) a dictionaries collection and possibly something else on your home page - after you've connected via wireless, tapped on sync and check for new items in the menu, and then changed from Device being highlighted to Cloud being highlighted on your home page, you should see your books unless you've accidentally connected to the wrong account or created a new account

Ebooks are tied to the account, not the device. Some ebooks (not all) can be lent once, for a total of 2 weeks. Otherwise, you'll need to register your Kindle to the account you used to buy the ebooks.

I sent books through the manage content and devices. I even saw one show it was downloading on device. It never showed up on the first screen. I even check under the books. It does not show up under device. It looks like it is constantly syncing with the moving grey line. That is the only thing show me that it is still doing something. This is so frustrating. This is my third kindle. Two out of the three have had problems with not showing my books. I might just trade with my son and use his since he does not use his for reading. I have the kindle fire 6" a kindle fire 7" third gen and my son has the 2nd gen.

I have amazon kindle app on my cellphone. I just got a tablet and installed the app on there. I'm signed in but my books won't show up in the library on my tablet but they will on my phone. On my phone it says that they are on device. Not sure what I can do to get them on my tablet as well?
