How do you make app boxes for organizing apps on fire hd home page?

What? The Carousel is the home on the Fire. It is not customizable.

If you mean making groups, you can't. You can save them to your Favorites, so they show below the carousel.

Three groups were made when I first turned on my new fire hd. I did not make the groups. They just appeared. I don't understand why, if you can make 3 groups, you cant make more instead of having the saved apps strung down the page.

There is no "Group" option. Not sure what you saw, but it wasn't a group of icons.

Editing to add...you can make Collections for apps, and you can also add that Collection to the Home screen.

I've never seen this option before, and have no idea when it was added. I'm using a Fire HDX 7".

I use this app GoToApp Full to organize all my other apps. A little hard to figure out at first, but quite useful and easy once you get the hang of it. That link is to the ad-free paid version, but if you'd like to try it out first, here's the freebie version link: GoToApp Demo

And you don't know what you're talking about, either. If you don't know what I'm tallking about, then don't try to tell me I can't do it.

If you know of a way to create groups of apps on the Fire, please share. Lots of users would be interested in that feature.

If you mean the Collection feature, you can do that. But they don't show on the Carousel or on the Home screen. Those show under Apps, under the Menu options.

Looks like you can add those Collections to Home by touching and holding, Add to Home.
