Find some wi-fi. That's the only way.

If you have a 3/4G phone, you can set it up as a hot spot.

mman says:
Not possible.

How are you online NOW? And unless your phone can create a hotspot, you're out of luck. Go to an internet cafe.

I don't have unlimited data plan and never used the hotspot. Will this cause any issue on the phone itself?

Come to think of it, ask at the desk where you are staying. "Hi. Where can I check my email, please?"

Be sure to tip them.

Of course if your phone can create a hotspot, you can likely just read your email on it. :)

Family member has no internet and need to use on plane or car.

Not sure what you mean by issues. Maybe when you are travelling and want to check your email, you should find a public space like Starbucks or McDonalds.

Then call your cell carrier and tell them where you'll be and ask how to use the hotspot. But as Ed said, why not just use your phone? And WHY wouldn't it be possible to find wi-fi? If you're going THAT far from civilization, where there isn't wi-fi SOMEWHERE, email is the least of your worries.

You may have to pay for it, but unless you are going deep into the Urubamba River valley, I bet you can find wi-fi somewhere.

Yeah, no. Not for email. You can buy or rent some videos before you go, to watch in the car, but there won't be CAR wi-fi.

Why is this poster's name changing every 5 minutes?

Looks like they are logging in under two different accounts, profiles are different but last name is the same.
