I'm terribly impatient.

My Kindle Fire 7" HDX is due to arrive today. I'm obsessively checking the tracking on it, hoping it's about to arrive.

As it is now only 12:20 and the tracking says it will arrive by 8:00pm, I still have quite a while to wait.

What did you all do to keep yourselves busy while awaiting the delivery of your wonderful Kindles?

:)

Mine says "Out for delivery."

Soooo...maybe soon!?

I'll just sit here in my living room and wait. I actually *AM* working. I have a wonderful boss who let me work from home today (thank goodness I have a job that allows that) when I told her I was expecting a delivery of an electronic item and as the temperature is currently in the teens, I'd rather it not sit on the porch all day.

So nice and cozy in my living room, working, and waiting VERY impatiently for my Kindle to arrive. ;)

Haha. Glad I'm not the only one.

This will be my first tablet. I've had an iPod Touch for a number of years but it's slowly dying on me.

I am not set up to work from home so I always sign up for the text alert when it is delivered. Problem is the text alert always seems to come about 2-3 hours after the delivery so by then I usually already know from another source. But...I still sign up every time. :-)

No, you are not the only one - a while back someone else posted about constantly checking the tracking & asked the same question - a lot people admitted to doing the same. LOL!

Is it coming UPS? They deliver to our street at about the same time every day, 3:00 or so. Before the holidays, that moves to 5:00 or after. The only time they deliver early in the day is if the item was shipped Next Day.

Tracking says Surepost.

So, that's UPS handed off to the Posties?

I don't get the move to hand-off shipping. The more times it is handled, the more time it takes.

So happy for you! I KNOW you will enjoy it! :)

No, I just checked. I was mistaken. It's Fedex Smartpost. I misread.

My UPS driver may show up at 1:00 pm or 8:00 pm. There is no rhyme or reason from my viewpoint.
I get impatient and wish I could view the GPS of the truck and get an estimate of what hour he will be at my house. Then I feel guilty for being so self-centered. lol

Same thing though, they hand off to the Posties for delivery.

Ah, well if that's the case it might get here around 3:00.

A girl can hope. :D

I always figured they travel the route the same way every day. When I worked at the salon, we pretty much knew what time they would bring orders, within an hour or so.

I stopped using text trace because is don't need to know 3 hours later. I have never gotten a text sooner than 2 hours after the package was delivered.

IT'S HERE!!!

I plugged it in, went through the set up, and now it's just sitting on my desk. I still have work to do, but I can stare longingly at it while it charges, right?

YAY!
